Job Title:
Building Envelope Engineer
- Tyndall AFB
***Work Location: Panama City, FL***
Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview
REQUIREMENT-
Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections and surveillance of building envelope and air barrier construction and testing
- Review testing procedures, field tests and reports
- Witness and evaluate air barrier efficacy
- Perform condition surveys and building envelope commissioning
- Review field tests of the following:
- Windows, curtain walls and doors
- Electronic Roof Tests
- Wind Uplift Tests
- Blower Door Tests
- Pull Tests
- Infrared Thermography of walls and roofs
- Produce reports for testing observed
- Ability to forensically evaluate building enclosure systems and detect and evaluate deficiencies, quantify energy losses and determine cost
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Building Construction Science
- 10 years of experience with specific knowledge and experience in the design, evaluation, investigation and commissioning of building enclosure components and assemblies on both new and existing structures.
- Experience with military construction and the UFGS is favorable, but not a requirement
- Army Corp of Engineering (USACE) or other federal project experience, preferred
- Experience using RMS 3.0, preferred
- OSHA-10 Safety Course required; OSHA-30, preferred
- Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx), Certification in the Commissioning Process or has the experience to obtain one in the first year of employment, preferred.
