For those without experience we offer apprenticeship.

Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be notified where and when to appear for the interview. Those applicants who are selected for the training program will attend unpaid classes at the BAC District Council of WV Training Center in Harrisville, for a period of eight (8) weeks at thirty-two (32) hours per week, Monday – Thursday. You must graduate from this program to start apprenticeship. There is no charge for the training. You will receive a stipend of $12.50 for each day you attend class. Tools will be provided for your training. If determined by the JATC you live too far from the Training Center to commute each day, housing will be provided at no cost to you. If you successfully complete the pre-job program you will be placed on a job, your starting wages will be 50% of Journeyworker wages (approximately $18.00) per hour plus benefits, depending on the area of your employment and trade of interest). During your apprenticeship, you will receive a 10% pay increase for each six month period you work with at least 1,000 work hours and satisfactory improvement. The minimum requirements are as follows:

1. Obtained the age of 18

2. Must live in West Virginia or the follow Maryland counties: Allegany, Garrett & Washington or a county of another state that touches a West Virginia state line. However, all work perform will be in West Virginia or the three Maryland counties.

3. High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent

4. Have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

5. Must be physically able to perform the work of the trade and pass a drug screen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
