The Branch Manager will develop and implement a business development plan to penetrate and grow landscape construction market in the Greater Bay Area and Silicon Valley. This individual will oversee and plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise Landscape construction projects from development to completion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • College degree in construction management or any related field or equivalent combination of technical training and/ or experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience in construction industry or in any related industry

License or Certification

  • As required by state and federal law
  • Valid driver license issued by the state where employed
  • C27 Landscape contractor licenses a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Constant customer interaction and follow-up, to ensure satisfaction surrounding service, and to develop existing and potential relationships.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training and development of personnel.
  • Ability to display the highest level of leadership, professionalism and integrity at all times.
  • Review and monitor equipment maintenance programs and recommend capital investments.
  • Ensure timely and effective action is taken on all sales lead opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain an effective interface between sales, operations and customers to ensure successful on-boarding and retention of new business.
  • Draft and present annual budgets and monthly financial projections.
  • Meet or exceed District financial and sales goals.
  • Responsible for creating contemporaneous, prompt, and thorough documentation of all coaching, conversations, counseling, and performance management discussions with employees.
  • Conduct supervisor performance evaluations.
  • Direct supervision of six to eight management level employees
  • Indirect supervision 70 to 90 production level employees
  • High-level decision-making authority, requiring frequent independent deliberation.
  • Problem resolution
  • Accountable for the full profit and loss (PNL) of the branch
  • Estimating, planning and project management responsibility ensuring customers are provided compliant and accurate traffic control estimates, plans and services in the required time frame.
  • Co-operate with sub-contractors on the work progress.
  • Effective sales management to include proper budgeting of new sales goals; ensuring sales goals are met or exceeded.
  • Responsible for all start-up of all jobs
  • Responsible for all aspects of inventory controls and reporting (monthly at a minimum).
  • Ensure a professional, stimulating and supportive work environment in the field as well as in the office.
  • Recruitment, training, cross-training and development of all staff.
  • Ensure that employee performance reviews are completed in a timely manner and according to Company policies and procedures. Obtain recommendations and make final decision for salary and development initiatives.
  • Employee reprimands, counseling’s, suspensions and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance to OSHA and safety standards.
  • Responsible for facility’s image, appearance and organization.
  • Obtain permits and licenses as required as well as being responsible for all permit checks issued to branch.
  • Responsible for all areas of safety including operations being performed in the field.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay range: $145,000 - $215,000
