Book Distribution Specialist Job at Ballast Books
Ballast Books and Blue Balloon Books, a leading hybrid publisher, is looking for an experienced book distributor and seller to move our distribution model in-house.
This candidate must have at least five years in a book buying or distribution role, and understand Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Readerlink, Amazon, and other book retailers and wholesalers inside and out.
Sales experience is a must. This position will be responsible for reaching out to and developing relationships with book buyers and retailers, including but not limited to large, national chains like B&N, BAM, Target, Costco and Walmart; smaller, regional bookstores; speciality shops; and of course, Amazon. They will completely manage these relationships, and be responsible for selling our titles into those outlets.
If you have worked closely with large book distributors and wholesalers, and sold into the retail channel, please include a cover letter explaining your relevant experience and how you would approach starting an in-house distribution model from scratch.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
