    Position Overview

    The Board Certified Behavior Analyst will be responsible for consulting with staff to plan strategies for, and ensure standardization of, supporting student behavior. Responsibilities will include developing standard practices related to functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and behavior support plans (BSPs); collaborating with staff and parents to increase student prosocial behavior, achievement, and engagement; observing students and assessing behavior; and design and implement professional learning for staff in the implementation of behavior support practices. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst will be stepping into a team environment daily where collaboration, communication, and adaptability are key to the success of the students, the team, and the individual.

    • in personalizing learning for students, meeting academic, social, and emotional needs and aspirations so that each student feels valued and has a sense of belonging, leading to academic success.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to…

    • Collaborates with and provides coaching to Behavior Specialists and School Psychologists on conducting FBAs and writing BSPs.
    • Provides coaching to Behavior Specialists on implementation of BSPs and professional learning of behavior paraprofessionals, teachers, and related services providers on implementation of BSPs.
    • Consults with Behavior Specialists to ensure fidelity of implementation of BSPs across staff
    • Collaborates with administrators, teachers, staff, families, community resources, social workers, and others to coordinate and provide behavioral support services to students.
    • Stays current with research and practices, and uses information and knowledge gained to design and implement high-quality professional learning for staff.
    • Prepares and/or reviews documentation, reports, and/or other correspondence including assessments, evaluation reports, progress reports, and other related paperwork; and ensures compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
    • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

    Qualifications:

    Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education or closely related field and a minimum of three years of related work experience and certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
