Bilingual Paralegal Job at MJ Morgan Group
Rapidly growing law firm largely serving the Latino community is seeking a Legal Assistant/ Paralegal. Must be fluent in Spanish as majority of clients are native Spanish-speakers. Firm is focused on representing individuals who have sustained personal injuries as a result of automobile and/or work accidents, as well as providing legal services for those who have been charged with a criminal offense or received traffic citations. Paralegal experience is preferred but not required.

Core Responsibilities:
- Assist attorney and other legal assistants/paralegals with ongoing litigation support including case investigation, researching public records, filing/e-filing legal documents, drafting documents, etc.
- Maintain verbal and written communication with Spanish speaking clientele daily
- Correspond with insurance companies, healthcare providers, courts, and other parties affiliated with client cases
- Keep track of client medical treatment and coordinates with attorney and paralegals to ensure case progress
- Assist with the writing of various legal documents
- Conduct telephone and in-person intake
- Open and maintain electronic and paper case files
- Maintain attorney agenda and work with an office diary system
- Coordinate/schedule depositions and meetings
- Aid in obtaining medical records and billing information
- Answer multi-line telephone system
- Post on social media and monitor incoming messages
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited four-year university, or an Associates Degree with 2 years minimum relevant experience
- Paralegal Certificate is preferred
- Spanish/English proficiency: MUST be able to read, write and speak Spanish
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational skills
- Work well with others; a team player
- Ability to work under pressure
- Desire to learn and willingness to perform any additional tasks assigned
