The Arizona Cardinals Football Club is a professional football team within the National Football League (NFL). The Cardinals compete in the National Football Conference (NFC) West division and call State Farm Stadium in Glendale their home stadium.

Summary: This role with the Arizona Cardinals Football Club is a position that serves as one of the key touchpoints for the team and our brand in the community. Big Red makes over three hundred appearances a year including home games, charitable events, sponsor fulfillments, and media appearances. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the game of football with the ability to perform in front of large crowds. As one of the team’s most recognizable members, this employee needs to be professional, courteous, pleasant, reliable, and dependable. This position will create lasting moments for fans while exuding energy and enthusiasm. Being a mascot is a physically demanding job, so you must possess some physical strength and stamina.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Perform as the mascot at home games interacting with fans before, during, and after the games
  • Perform as the mascot at community, sponsor, and media events around the Phoenix metro area as scheduled
  • Maintain mascot costume including cleaning and routine maintenance
  • Participate in choreographed routines on Game Days
  • Provide excellent interactions to fans of all ages
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Strong performer, highly charismatic, ability to interact with wide variety of fans and staff
  • Previous experience in acting, performance arts, entertainment, promotions, cheerleading, gymnastics, aerobics, or mascot experience preferred
  • Understanding of choreography & the ability to dance is required
  • Strong nonverbal communication skills
  • Must be able to perform all physical job duties with high energy and enthusiasm
  • Available to work on game and event days including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Travel is required for various off-site events, and reliable transportation is required
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Must be between 5’8” and 5’11” for costume
  • May require repetitive bending, turning, and kneeling
  • Ability to work in costume for extended periods
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain
  • Ability to run, walk, jump, climb stairs, and stand for long periods of time in a costume
