Job Summary

The Behavior Specialist is responsible for providing support to our agency’s Day Program in Beverly, MA. Under supervision of the Program Director, the Behavior Specialist will develop and supervise the implementation of behavior support plans, attend meetings, and provide technical assistance with behavioral issues as needed. The position requires proficiency with the delivery of behavior analytics and/or therapeutic services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities within their environments.

  • The rate of pay is $60.00 per hour.
  • This is a part-time position working 7-12 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Develop ISP Behavioral Assessments, clinical summaries, and attend identified ISPs to result in a more comprehensive and thorough presentation of plan outcomes and data collection statistics.
  • Create and facilitate training across all departments to improve skill and abilities of staff when managing challenging behaviors.
  • Create development plans that meet all regulatory requirements and are based upon a functional analysis of the behavior and the principles of PBS.
  • Provide support to staff in handling crisis intervention situations that may arise.
  • Attend clinical meetings at Day Program, as scheduled.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in a related field, BCBA preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience supporting individual’s with developmental disabilities.
  • A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation is required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check including references, CORI, and fingerprinting.
