WHERE YOU WILL WORK
At our AMES Office in Smyrna, GA once the office opens. You will initially work remotely, as your safety and that of all our employees is essential at AMES, thus our office is currently closed due to Covid Safety measures.
WHO YOU ARE
As the Associate Product Manager, you will coordinate and assist with product lines from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Product Development:
  • Assess consumer, retail and building market product offerings and competitive analysis.
  • Coordinate multiple new product development initiatives including market/product research, concept development and design.
  • Build positive team relationships in multi-functional settings to continually improve the product development process.
  • Direct and lead cross functional new product development teams. Ability to work in a team environment & maintain regular attendance is critical
  • Product Marketing:
  • Assist in pricing strategy and initial forecasts.
  • Coordinate the development of product packaging, point of sale signage, displays and support materials.
  • Develop and manage market support activities including advertising, public relations, promotions and trade shows.
  • Product Management:
  • Evaluate, analyze and report on product line performance by conducting monthly surveys and presenting though reports.
  • Support and facilitate the sales effort as needed.
  • Coordinate projects with purchasing, manufacturing, design engineering and outside vendors (both domestic and overseas).
  • Assist in rectifying quality/operational issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field Or equivalent amount of education and experience
  • 2-3 years of related work experience
  • Strong PC skills including the Microsoft Office Suite- especially Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Familiarity using online surveying tool Survey Monkey a big plus.
  • Ability to do mathematical calculations from surveys to generate reports.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to access multiple tasks and develop a plan to complete them in a logical and efficient manner
  • Ability to anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action as needed and be prepared for possible contingencies
  • Primarily limited to local travel with occasional overnight travel
