Job Overview:
The role of the Accounting Associate will be to prepare, evaluate and finalize daily production cost activities and to interact with plant management; identifying, defining, and offering suggested resolutions to any process-problem areas as they become known. The Associate will work with the Controller and the Senior Accountant to prepare period-ending financial results and projections in alignment with CTI Foods’ objectives and identified growth plan(s).
Responsibilities:
  • Department liaison for future System’s migration.
  • Daily preparation of production costing activities; including the collection of data, data input, data verification and comprehensive evaluation of a finalized shop floor costing.
  • Raw material audit and reconciliation.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all period financial analytics.
  • Coordinate each period’s price list updates.
  • Work with the controller to develop new and improve existing reporting capabilities.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Promotes and adheres to Food Safety and Quality standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, accounting, or related discipline of study preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or equivalent business experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex accounting processes and employ effective auditing/ drill down capabilities.
  • Experience in Accounting (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) (Local ERP/Financial Systems).
  • Experience with major ERP system implementations preferred.
