The Associate Director for Sales, Inventory and Ops Planning (SIOP) will lead a small team of professionals who are responsible for managing and implementing SIOP processes, initiatives and improvements for the Advanced Structures Materials & SIOP organization. This position will manage assigned resources, developing their skills and talent, and utilize departmental tools to achieve Materials & SIOP goals and objectives. In addition, this position is responsible for the development and deployment of standard work, training, guidance and related tools and systems that support SIOP at all sites and value streams within the small business unit.

This SIOP leadership position is within the Operations central organization and is responsible for working in conjunction with five Advanced Structures Business Units’ SIOP organizations to create standards, optimized tools and processes, key health measurements and standard work for the global manufacturing and aftermarket sites. The SIOP leader will drive improvement targets related to on time delivery, reliability, inventory optimization as well as revenue and margin attainment.

This individual may work from any Advanced Structures or Collins Aerospace location, including remote work arrangements, where agreed.

The SIOP leader must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization, working within a matrix organization and ensure appropriate information flow across an extended organization. The Associate Director will work closely with Business unit segments, sites, values streams and leadership to continuously improve and mature SIOP processes.

The position requires advanced knowledge in Materials, Ops Planning and Demand management functions in an international manufacturing organization. This is a collaborative role with interactions and coordination with Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Digital Technology within Collins. This role focuses on achieving on time delivery, inventory targets, materials management strategies and materials initiatives. The Associate Director will support Materials governance principles and lead continuous improvement activities using the CORE operating system.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the governance and rules of engagement to achieve effective use of processes and tools.
  • Set strategic plans and execute on long term strategies for SIOP process maturity and influence strategies and direction in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Leadership of long-term demand and supply planning processes and operational feedback.
  • Establish leading key performance indicators and success measures for business performance and reporting.
  • Manage robust risk management processes, including mitigation, contingency and scenarios.
  • Execute hiring and staffing plans and develop effective team through coaching, evaluating and feedback.
  • On-site engagements with business segments to identify gaps, training and deployment of SIOP processes.
  • Ensure materials compliance through the adherence to company rules, policies, guidelines and audits applicable to Materials & SIOP.
  • Support and guide processes to optimize SIOP, capacity planning, production and inventory planning that is aligned with applicable policies and established goals.
  • Facilitate the flow of materials and information to meet operational objectives through cross- functional collaboration across Materials organization, Supply Chain, Operations and Quality.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time (domestic and international).

Basic Qualifications

  • University degree with 12+ years of relevant experience / Advanced degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Managerial experience with leading teams, including cross-discipline collaboration.
  • ERP/MRP Systems and process re-engineering experience.
  • Continuous improvement skills (Lean, Six Sigma, ACE, CORE).
  • Experience in developing presentations to influence others with Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Logistics, Business, Finance or Industrial Engineering degrees preferred.
  • Skilled at building teams and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced work environment.
  • APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP).
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing planning software packages (SAP, Kinaxis Rapid Response, SAP IBP).
  • Change Management leadership, certification, training and/or experience.
  • Understanding of supply chain concepts and their financial impact.
  • Strong analytics, numerical and reasoning skills.
  • Results oriented, with a strong bias for action and results.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time (domestic and international).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.

The salary range for this role is 139,000 USD - 277,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
