About the Team

The Customer Domain team at AT&T is responsible for providing a seamless omnichannel experience to our customers during registration and profile management. This team also owns other data pipelines and data stores that manager key customer information that is leveraged by all AT&T systems.

About the Job

The Associate Director of Product Management will be responsible for charting and executing the course for AT&T’s customer and employee digital experience across our consumer distribution channels. You will lead a team of product managers and will be responsible for delivering product strategy, product roadmap, as well as solutions that will enable world-class omni-channel customer experience. You will be responsible for growing a team that excels in both the art of creating delightful customer experiences and the science of applying experimentation mindset and data-driven decisions. A key component of your role will be working closely with business and technology leaders to ensure opportunities pursued are aligned to business objectives, strategically consistent, technically feasible, and will raise the bar for customer experience. You will be responsible for the voice of customers and employees as you work with business, technology, and UX leaders to set strategy and define products.

Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View

  • Establish and continuously update the vision and roadmap for AT&T omni-channel customer experience.
  • Manage the product lifecycle through defining product roadmap, ensuring product delivery, collaborating closely with the business, technology, and UX stakeholders on feature specifications, representing the voice of the user, and making decisions on priorities and trade-offs.
  • Foster and grow the culture based on openness, accountability, agility, data-driven decisions, innovation, cross-team collaboration, continuous learning & integrity. Be a role model by setting and following high standards for these culture elements.
  • Ensure business, functional and system requirements are well written and there is clear communication and coordination of requirements with impacted stakeholders.
  • Create plans that have clear, measurable success criteria.
  • Manage the execution of initiatives from idea through launch, while setting and managing the right expectations with stakeholders.
  • Make sound decisions despite uncertainty and proactively anticipate and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks).
  • Define, review, and track key metrics associated with product and program performance.
  • Lead product teams responsible for platforms, applications, libraries, and patterns that enable application developers to be effective in bringing value to our customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a related engineering discipline required. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management in large-scale customer-facing digital capability
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing Product Management teams in digital space
  • 5+ years of experience in agile and lean startup product management processes
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a large, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • Metrics-focused - Define metrics for success and failure; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and make decisions.
  • Be able to weigh technical trade-offs and have in-depth discussions with technology teams on the nuances of complex engineering systems.
  • Sound business judgment, strong ability to influence others, and advanced analytical thinking skills are critical for success in this position.
  • Expert knowledge and experience running agile delivery teams.
  • Expert knowledge and experience working with asynchronous message processing, stream processing and event driven computing.
  • Expert knowledge and experience developing APIs.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with integration or end-to-end testing techniques in a complex distributed environment and automated testing in general.

Our Assoc Director Product Management & Devs earn between $141,300 - $237,400. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
