We are currently searching for an Associate Director of Development to join the dean's office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by managing the relationships for a portfolio of major gift prospects for the College of Engineering, and other such tasks as assigned.
Your core responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and implementing strategies for securing financial support from major gift prospects and will manage a portfolio of approximately 150 prospects.
  • Identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts for the university from alumni.
  • Working closely with leadership within the College on defining philanthropic priorities and relationship opportunities.
  • Driving the strategic direction for alumni engagement efforts and be responsible for the implementation of key cultivation and stewardship initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of major gift fundraising experience required
  • 3-5 years of higher education experience
Requirements:
  • Successful background check
  • Traveling outside the Pittsburgh area required (30%-40%)
