Assistant Technical Designer
The Assistant Pattern Maker aids in pattern creation and development. Works closely with Quality Control to ensure patterns are sewing to spec in production. Responsible for fittings and providing feedback to Pattern Assistant Manager. There is also opportunity to work in area of design.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Aids Pattern Assistant Manager in pattern creation
- Tracks pattern changes throughout development
- Organizes and track all sew guides/pattern samples
- Works closely with Product Development and Pattern teams on draping and fit
- Develops quality control specs and customer-facing size charts for garments
- Facilitates constant, clear dialogue with offsite Pattern Assistant Manager
- Creates cut markers in Gerber Accumark for sew samples and customer orders, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a design or merchandising field, or equivalent experience, required
- Working knowledge of and comfort using Gerber Accumark system
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to express himself/herself clearly and concisely in written form
- Organized and able to work under tight deadlines
