Job Title: Assistant Property Manager for Self-Storage Facility

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-exempt

Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time, Assistant Property Manager for our Self-Storage facility in West Slidell, LA and the surrounding area! This person should be energetic, self-motivated, and ready to roll up their sleeves to contribute to the success of our property. Storage facility office hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:30PM (closed on Sundays!). This position is 40 hours/week, including Saturdays. This position reports directly to the Property Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Ø Provide exceptional customer service to our current and prospective customers

Ø Responsible for opening/closing the office, processing customer transactions, processing payments, and making daily deposits to bank

Ø Execute all leasing documents; maintain all required tenant documentation in an orderly manner. Including, contracts and insurance. Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports

Ø Control delinquencies through telephone contact and letters on a scheduled basis, including sending out monthly invoices

Ø Prepare units up for auction, vacate as prescribed by law, and approved by the District Manager

Ø Ensure the cleanliness of storage premises and conduct equipment/building repairs in a timely manner. Includes daily walk throughs, sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, changing light bulbs, and general maintenance of facility

Job Requirements:

Ø High school degree or equivalent

Ø Minimum of 1 year of management, customer service, retail, hospitality, or related field

Ø Valid driver license and reliable transportation for travel to perform essential duties, such as bank runs

Ø Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including great written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills and knowledge

Ø Must be able to lift 50lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time

Ø Willing to work in an outdoor environment

Ø Employee must pass pre-employment screening, which may include background check, contacting references, and drug testing
