Assistant Market Manager Overview

As the Assistant Market Manager, you will direct the delivery operations of the assigned locations. You will have direct oversight of the owner operators, and manage loading, delivery, dispatch, and client/customer relations. Responsibilities

(include, but are not limited to)

• Oversees loading and unloading of all delivery vehicles
• Ensures that maintenance of all delivery and service vehicles are completed as scheduled
• Directs and assists the delivery department in accomplishing their deliveries
• Monitors weekly reports to ensure financial objectives are being met
• Ensures all operations are operating in compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements
• Conducts ride behind and evaluation of employees and/or contract teams to determine skill levels
• Ensures all claims are handled in a timely manner and coach the appropriate driver
• Coordinates with customer service to ensure that all customers are satisfied
• Sets goals and tracks all performance related statistics
• Responsible for the recruiting and coaching of the assistant market manager and all owner operators
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all members of store personnel and client representatives
• Analyzes scheduling and routing procedures as well as statistical and routine reports for operation analysis
• Ultimately responsible for budget accomplishments and failures
• Maintain weekly settlements and invoicing validation
• Up to 80% travel in assigned market locations

Requirements

• Higher education and/or equivalent experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Effectively communicate in writing and verbally
• Valid Driver’s License
• Flexible Schedule - Must be able to work a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
• Handle all needs of the customers
• Integrity in all things
