THE RESPONSIBLITIES FOR THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING ARE:
- Oversight of clinical systems that ensure consistent delivery of quality resident care and services.
- Assistant the Director of Nursing with organizing, planning, and directs department functions and activities to comply with long and short term objectives.
- Interprets regulatory requirements and monitors documentation for compliance.
- Maintains compliance with nursing care standards, policies, procedures and regulatory agency requirements.
- Monitors Quality Indicators, identifies trends, and develops action plans.
- Manages and analyzes the staffing patterns to ensure that all nursing units are staffed accordingly
- Establishes positive employee relations, programs and practices.
- Serves as a role model and mentor for the entire nursing team,
- Uses effective communication skills by providing timely and feedback to all personnel.
THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING POSITION:
- Must have a current Registered Nurse license; preferably issued by the state of Delaware
- Two years of supervisory and/or ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING experience preferred.
- Must have the ability to lead and develop all nursing personnel
- Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and local long term care regulations.
