Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
This position covers the broad nature of visitor services functioning, including the campus visit program, and all aspects of carrying out the mission of the USC Visitor Center and meeting the University’s recruitment goals through the management of a comprehensive campus visit program. The Assistant Director for Campus Visits manages all aspects of the campus visit program to include prospective undergraduate and graduate students, parents of prospective students and group visits. This individual is also responsible for ongoing assessment of the campus visit programs to refine programs and services and to enhance the visit for a growing and increasingly diverse population of prospective students. The Assistant Director also supervises the Coordinator(s) for Campus Visits to ensure a smooth delivery of services and appropriate record keeping is in place. This position does require some nights and weekend availability. Twenty percent of the position responsibilities can be done remotely. This position may be eligible for hybrid work schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Assessment skills, experience in volunteer supervision, use of content- management systems.Prefer two years of experience in higher education. Knowledge of college admissions/enrollment management, student recruitment, campus visit programming, and volunteers a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must be able to plan, implement, and evaluate programs. Must have a proven record of relating well to people, have an engaging personality, and be able to speak with confidence in front of the diverse constituency base that visits the University
