Responsibilities:
Horizon Health seeks a Clinical Assessment Coordinator for its Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit located at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. Responsibilities include providing assessments for potential clients to the inpatient program as well as acting as a direct liaison with appropriate interested parties and physicians through the patient referral inquiry and admission process. This position responds to requests for general information about the unit’s treatment program and provides information and education topics in response to community requests.

Qualifications:


  • A Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in Mental Health or similar field
  • LCSW, LPC or LMFT licensure required
  • Licensed in the state of Arkansas
  • Previous experience in behavioral health assessments
  • Previous experience in psychiatric utilization review and inpatient psychiatric treatment highly preferred
  • Proficient in software applications
  • Ability to manage stress appropriately
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to manager anger, fear, hostility and/or violence of others appropriately
  • Maintains a positive attitude/public image while in the facility and in all work-related activities outside the facility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend moderate to complex instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write detailed correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients and their families, Program leadership, employees, clients, providers, vendors, etc.
  • Communicates effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
  • Communicates effectively with families, agencies and referral sources conveying a positive and professional image
  • Ensures confidentiality of all information encountered
  • Maintains professional interactions with peers, senior management, and staff through effective written and verbal communications
  • Displays competent, effective interviewing and report-writing skills
  • Completes competent, clear progress notes and assessments according to program policies and procedures
