We are looking for a 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm) Assembly Technician Lead Person

  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists. This includes gathering electronic components, parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Assembles components and parts according to work instructions, engineering drawings, mechanical assembly drawings, and electrical wiring diagram
  • Installs proper hardware into parts according to work order to assure a quality product.
  • Monitors and maintains machines to assure quality production.

Maintains supplies inventory by checking with material handler to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; verifying that each part has a WO.

  • Labor reporting in an ERP system and the ability to complete basic paperwork such as QC checklists and non-conformance reports.
  • Ability to use and service the following tools:
  • Basic hand tools; screwdrivers, wrenches and sockets
  • Electric and pneumatic power tools; drills, drivers, angle grinders, staplers, nail gun, saws
  • Wire strippers, crimpers, pinning tools, and soldering iron
  • Measuring equipment such as digital multi-meter, tape measure, caliper, square, and protractor
  • Computer Literacy, working knowledge the windows OS, file management, some knowledge of Microsoft WORD and Excel
  • Forklift Operation
  • Collaborate and work with a team which consists of members with varying specialties and skill levels
  • Professional communication skills, written and verbal, timely and accurate

Leadership Ability:

  • Formal leadership training from an accredited organization with an understanding of the AMA Management Basics
  • Public speaking ability
  • Plan projects, lead/organize/control the execution, and communicate outcomes

Qualifications:

Has a minimum of a High School education or equivalent. 5+ years’ experience in a service trade and/or manufacturing environment with training in the following disciplines and accreditations ISO, Lean Six Sigma, APIC preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
