The Assembly & Shipping Support Specialist position is responsible for completing small-part assembly activities. This can range from constructing retail kits, small part kits, Final assemblie support kits, and Magazine assemblies. These activities will support our production and retail needs for Atlas customers.

This position will also complete pick, pack, and shipping support for our retail sales department and general support for the inventory team. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about the industry and grow your skills.

The ideal candidate will be experienced with small mechanical assemblies and have a high attention to detail; previous experience in a warehouse environment is also a plus. In addition, they would have effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and familiarity in using MS Office applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for prepping components to create small assemblies of products and parts kits.
  • Ability to use small hand tools or machines to create mechanical assemblies.
  • Responsible for testing form, fit, and function of Magazines, small assemblies, and parts kits to ensure specifications are met by following the documented processes.
  • Ability to stage shipments for receiving, internal distribution, or outbound movement.
  • Responsible for supporting order fulfillment by accurately picking items from shelves and bins (verifying the orders for quantity, colors, units of measure, and completeness) while placing them in shipping packages.
  • Responsible for supporting the recording of shipment data in our various software systems.
  • Ability to use shipping meters to generate postage for various package types.
  • Responsible for supporting the stocking of shelves, racks, and bins at all levels.
  • Complete calls with customers to confirm order deliveries or to inform them of shipping delays.
  • Effective organizational, planning, and prioritization skills are also necessary to be successful in this role.
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and utilize problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Responsible for organizing the work area and keeping it clean and safe daily.
  • Other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Be comfortable working on a variety of projects and pitch in where needed.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical ability to lift, push or pull up to 25 lbs
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
