Assembler (Draft Gear)

Key Job Elements:

• Clean parts in tumble blast machine;

• Repair housings by mig or stick welding;

• Reassemble draft gears;

• Operate mobile equipment to move material;

• Use gages to determine if product meets quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Mig and stick welding experience, may accept welding/mechanics certificate from 2 year vocational school;

• Mechanical aptitude;

• Read precision instruments and gauges;

• Capable use of hand and power tools, including pneumatic tools, cutting torches and welding machines;

• Operate an overhead crane & forklift;

• Must be able to work overtime with short notice, including some Saturday work.
