Performs simple, repetitive mechanical or electro-mechanical sub-assembly work. Direction provided by verbal instructions or established assembly procedures. Requires simple adjusting with liberal tolerances and no fitting. Work is typically performed at a bench and may include walking or standing.
Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools and electronic tooling. Performs assembly operations that are moderately complex, requiring adjusting, and aligning of components to ordinary tolerances.

Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.

Works from drawings and/or specifications; reports defective materials or
questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintains the work area and
equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Adheres to all standard shop practices. May rotate to other workstations in unit.

Performs other duties assigned
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

· One to two years of experienced preferred.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, strong attention to detail and quality. Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.

· Consistently at work and on time, keeps commitments and meets deadlines; ability to work overtime as needed.

· Responds to management direction and follows instructions; listens well and gets clarification as required.

· Ability to work in a team setting and contribute to building a positive team spirit. Follows company policies and procedures; supports safety initiatives. Adapts to changes in the work environment.

· Ability to speak effectively within the work group. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.)

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for eight (8) hours; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; or smell.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate (~75dba)
