Position Title: ASQ PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Reports to: Director of Developmental Health & Inclusion

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Understands the core values of the Coalition and incorporates them on a regular basis
  • Works as a team member demonstrating flexibility, assisting other programs/ departments/agencies and lending support as needed and requested
  • Understands the ebbs and flows of work and manages accordingly
  • Functions within the policies and administrative procedures of the Coalition
  • Ensures the quality (neat, accurate, and thorough) and quantity (amount of work during a given amount of time) of work meets expectations necessary to fulfill the Coalition’s mission
  • Demonstrates dependability and drive in completing work assignment without close supervision
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality regarding program quality support activities, and is always cognizant of this when speaking to others in the community
  • Works independently, and exercises professional competency, balanced temperament, composure, discipline, and maturity
  • Maintains flexibility to manage multiple tasks while meeting critical timelines
  • Local and regional travel; occasional out of region travel
  • Provides support to the Director of Developmental Health & Inclusion
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, trainings and job related events
  • Other areas of support as assigned by director

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for creating / updating spreadsheets, tracking accepted, canceled and pending review ASQ-3 & ASQ:SE-2 submissions, sending reminder emails and calls to providers to meet Office of Early Learning standards
  • Complete monthly fidelity checks and audits for developmental screenings
  • Provide and track TA given to providers through email, phone or zoom calls
  • Generate and send ASQ Inclusion list to Inclusion Intake Specialist by COB every Friday
  • Complete / submit monthly office order
  • Organize and keep inventory of materials in storage closet
  • Assist in the planning, development and conducting of trainings, classes, workshops or learning events for early care and education practitioners
  • Assist Director of Developmental Health & Inclusion and Inclusion Intake Specialist with training registrations
  • Assist with material orders
  • Assist other programs in the Developmental Health and Inclusion Department

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Bilingual (Spanish) applicants may receive preference.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively to providers and families exercising discretion and judgment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities, and use time management skills
  • Ability to solve problems and seek clarification when needed
  • Proficiency on computer hardware and software programs used by the Coalition
  • Self-starter and proactive approach in resolving problems and issues
  • Ability to maintain composure and manage conflict under pressure while maintaining high morale
  • Demonstrated exemplary customer service, networking and interpersonal skills

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Works in an office setting.
  • May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Some travel for training and visibility events.
  • Some nights and weekends

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • An Associates and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Sociology, Psychology or related field preferred – equivalent experience can be substituted
  • Specific experience in early childhood education, DCF standards and/or state approved early learning standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Driver License
