Aruba Content Managers are responsible for developing and maintaining reusable proposal-ready content for use by Aruba Proposal Managers and sales teams, bid teams and channel partners in customer proposals. This content is stored in various repositories from which it can be viewed and downloaded or assembled into a complete proposal within Aruba’s Qvidian cloud-based content platform by proposal managers. The narrative portion of this content is also maintained and hosted on HPE’s Proposal Web platform for sales teams and partners for proposal assembly.

Content Managers:

The term Content Manager (CM) is typically used to refer to individuals responsible for developing and maintaining content in one or more areas related to Aruba product, service, or solution offerings. The CM responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop and maintain proposal-ready content that is accurate, timely and of high quality.
  • Identify and establish close linkages with subject matter experts (SME – Can be Product Line Managers, Technical Marketing Engineers, as well as Product Marketing Managers)
  • Ensure accuracy of content by working with SMEs and other trusted sources
  • Maintain timeliness of content by performing updates within established review schedules
  • Ensure quality and consistency of content by adhering to HPE and Aruba writing and formatting standards.
  • Anticipate and respond to user needs for proposal-ready content.
  • Submit content to repository according to established procedures, including the assignment of metadata.
  • Management reporting of content utilization in the various content platforms (Proposal Web, Arubapedia, Qvidian).

Proposal automation:

In addition to content development and localization, CMs may also be responsible for creating and implementing specialized content assembly applications using the Dynamic Wizard functionality within the Proposal Web automation tool or the Qvidian “Document Type” tool. This work requires that the CM:

  • Solicit user business requirements for specialized proposal assembly applications.
  • Design and maintain Dynamic Wizard application that reflects user requirements.

Qualifications:

CMs should possess the following qualifications:

  • Superior writing skills, including grammar, punctuation, and use of language.
  • Ability to research and synthesize technical information.
  • Expert use of Microsoft Word; specifically, the standard Aruba and HPE proposal template
  • Skilled use of various proposal content repositories and proposal automation tools including Qvidian and Proposal Web
  • Thorough understanding of Aruba proposal documentation standards and processes
  • General knowledge of HPE products, services and solutions
  • Interest and deeper knowledge of Aruba products, services and solutions
  • Strong organization, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage a team of content managers.
  • In-depth knowledge in assigned content area(s) to be able to review team members updates.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $83,500.00 - $192,100.00
