Army Community Services (ACS) Compliance Specialist

*This job posting is in response to a request for proposals from the DoD. By ing in advance of the award of the contract, SRI will be able to consider and pre-qualify applicants, should SRI be awarded the contract. This work is scheduled to begin in mid-March 2023.*


Overview:
Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Systems Navigators provide outreach, coordination, support, and non-clinical case management services to Soldiers and Families and their Exceptional Family Members at Army Garrisons worldwide. An Exceptional Family Member can be a child or adult family member with a physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disorder requiring special treatment, therapy, education, training, or counseling. The Army Community Services (ACS) Compliance Specialist provides ACS certification inspection and administrative support services in accordance with Department of Defense Instruction 1342.22, Military Family Readiness and Department of the Army Pamphlet 608-17, Instructions for Implementing Army Community Service Accreditation Program. Accreditation is a Department of the Army’s process for recognizing ACS centers as having a high level of performance, integrity, and quality. It ensures Soldiers, civilians, and Families receive consistent levels of quality support regardless of assignment, thus contributing to well-being and mission readiness. The accreditation process provides professional evaluation of the quality of ACS, to include component Family Advocacy Program (FAP) and Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) activities. The accreditation evaluation is based on Installation Management Agency (IMA) Region accreditation teams ing DA standards. The U.S. Army Community and Family Support Center (USACFSC) evaluates accreditation team recommendations and makes decision about compliance.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in certification inspections for each ACS Center. Work with Government personnel as part of the site inspection team.
  • Coordinate certification inspection milestones with the certification team, functional managers, and ACS Directors at military installations.
  • Responsible for a variety of administrative support tasks to include:
    • Issuing inspection packets for the sites to be inspected a year in advance
    • Reviewing materials
    • Providing guidance as it pertains to the certification process
    • Completing Government provided checklists
    • Entering data in the Department of Defense tracking system
    • Completing reports and following up on actions
  • Review the ACS center’s pre-positioned documents to meet certification, prepare corrective action plans, review corrective action plans for compliance, prepare certification correspondence and documentation, and obtain and review information for the Department of Defense Family Program Certification Management System (FP-CMS)
  • Plan, coordinate, and support up to two training events per year. Establish pre-registration and late-registration procedures for training participants. Coordinate presenters and develop a training program plan. Assemble and distribute training materials.


Minimum Required Skills, Education, Experience & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a behavior science field.
  • At least two years of experience performing administrative work or inspections.
  • Ability to work at an accelerated pace.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook, plus Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and Internet Explorer 7 or above.
  • Proven customer service skills and strong communication skills (oral and written)
