Operations Support Specialist duties include but not limited to:

Direct direct reporting relationship to the Production Control Supervisor in the Operations Department of the APS-3 Program. Employees in this position will be expected to have subject matter expertise in the automated systems provided by the Army to support the APS-3 program, along with expert knowledge of Army, and program policies and procedures. Employees in this position are expected to work autonomously with minimal supervision, and can be expected to have set deliverables to management and the customer.

Responsibilities, skills, and qualifications of the Operations Support Specialist position will include those of the Production Control Clerk plus:

Perform as the Operations cell in the Port Support Activity for all requirements related to the equipment receipt, accountability, staging, upload and download of APS-3 vessels.

Perform as the Operations cell in forward locations for all requirements related to the equipment staging, upload and download of APS-3 vessels.

This also includes performing all required Operations tasks to support ammunition operations at MOTSU.

This may require your availability to travel and work at other locations for extended periods of time.

Typical Responsibilities include:
Current Operations tracking and reporting: Upload / download status, Operations update to management and USG, dashboards, aging reports, ect Project management: Oversee all production control activities including reconciling work orders for correct status and condition codes, verifying scans and locations, packet control. Coordinate, track, and account for materiel movement to and from offsite vendors, monitor, update G-Army, and report progress. Other Current Operations Functions: Preparation of equipment and data files for shipment Gather dimension data, prepare and burn RFID tags, data file validate and import into G-Army, GATES, and MSL labeling Import information to prepare TCMD Provide backup support and training to ALL shop level production control clerks in the APS-3 program Audit shop level production control functions for compliance with Operations documented processes and procedures Update information in MMIS as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
US Citizen

2 years related experience in fields involving production, logistics, supply, or record keeping using automated systems

Ability to multi-task and problem solve · High School diploma; college completion viewed favorably

Skilled in using of various Microsoft Office programs, basic skills in Excel and Outlook Working knowledge of MICRO-Soft Project a plus

Working knowledge of G-Army a plus

Working knowledge of Army unit structure i.e. MTOEs, authorizations, requirements, equipment readiness

Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access

Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Common Access Card (CAC) issuance

Must be able to meet government-specified requirements for deployment ·

Ability to walk and stand regularly

Ability to work outdoors in the heat and cold

Ability to work overtime as required by production schedule

Additional duties as assigned
