Severe Service Specialists (Triple S) is a manufacturer’s representative and factory authorized automation facility for valves that are engineered to withstand severe applications. Our ADREM™ line of specialty valves are engineered for the demanding requirements of the chlor-alkali industry. We pride ourselves on knowing our customers’ processes and being able to provide flow control solutions. Triple S is also an authorized automation facility for Mogas, Adams, L&T, and other valve lines we represent.

Severe Service Specialists is a subsidiary of FloWorks International LLC, which is a privately held company located in Pasadena, Texas.

Summary of Responsibilities

Responds to customer needs and requirements with the appropriate Severe Service Specialists products. Maintains a high-level of customer service with existing customers and leverages relationships to expand business. Develops customer relationships by identifying customer needs, informing customers about the company's products or services, providing solutions and recommending new and better products. Coordinates with the outside sales team and other departments to ensure that customers receive the best service possible. Responsible for increasing sales within a specified territory through the development of relationships with potential customers and strengthening relationships with existing customers. Responsible for attaining established sales quotas and part margin objectives.


Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Provides technical expertise and develops technical solutions (control valve configuration, performance estimation, economics, proposal generation, etc.) while interfacing with the outside sales team.
  • Technical knowledge with Control Valves, Desuperheaters and Steam Conditioning Products and the systems they go in.
  • Provides pre-sale technical support: understands the customer's system, select products, provides product technical data, provides design support, support set-up, application reviews, and provides technical product overviews and training.
  • Provides post-sale technical support: troubleshoots application issues with Triple S represented products, reviews customer test data against application review, and provides technical data, as needed.
  • Handles all correspondence and inquiries with customers and outside sales regarding: Application of Product, Technical Information, Prices, Process and Preparation of Quotations and System Sketches where necessary.
  • Supports technical presentations to customers.
  • Maintains records of quotations and updates to all stakeholders.
  • Understands valve specifications and supporting design reviews.
  • Shares market and competitor information with all applicable channels within the organization; establishes relationships and working partnerships.
  • Identifies customer products needs and coordinates execution of orders.
  • May conduct negotiations with suppliers, vendors and manufacturers.
  • Assists in training or mentoring of associates.
  • Receives and process quote request from outside sales and customers. Prepare bids and estimates for potential customers.
  • Contacts regular and prospective customers to follow up on bids and estimates.
  • Interacts with customers, vendors, and associates to resolve customer and service related issues.
  • Coordinate with the shop to make sure orders are shipped on time.
  • Develop expertise specific to branch needs
  • Review of design for manufacturability and design cost issues.
  • Support standardization and continuous improvement of product and process.
  • Must be a team player, able to problem-solve and work constructively with customers and co-workers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational, and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 2+ years of technical experience in customer support and/or troubleshooting of industrial equipment/technology
  • 2+ years in-plant operations experience.
  • 2+ years working knowledge of industrial equipment
  • A good understanding of business financials and operations acumen
  • Clear written and verbal communication style; to be a professional face of Flowserve to our customer
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency with a customer-focused mindset to execute
  • Ability to produce professional reports and presentations in keeping with company policies & objectives
  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, CAD, ERP
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Up to 25% travel (domestic)

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information,

inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.


Autonomy

  • Nature of work requires increasing independence. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process.


Environmental Job Requirements

  • Typically, in a comfortable environment but with intermittent exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
