    Des Moines Public Schools is seeking an Associate Principal. Positions at multiple buildings and levels are available.

    Job Summary:
    Work with school community to create, pursue and monitor a vision for instruction, school conditions and collaboration that seeks equitable outcomes for students. Lead efforts for improvements in student achievement and staff performance through professional development, instructional leadership and coordination of a comprehensive tiered intervention system. Complete formal evaluations of certified and non- certified staff members. Adheres to the Iowa Standards for School Leaders (ISSL). This position requires continuous use of independent judgement.

    Successful candidates for this position will possess:
    Iowa Administrator License
    Evaluator Approval Endorsement

    Highly Qualified candidates for this position will possess:
    Prior educational leadership experience

    Salary Range for this position:
    Elementary: $84,806 - $94,077
    Middle: $88,577 - $101,874
    High: $96,563 - $111,039

    This represents the minimum to mid-point of the salary range. Candidates offered employment will be compensated based on skills, work experience and education.

    • Single and Family Health Insurance at no cost to the employee during the first plan year of employment (July 1 - June 30). Premium cost is $600/year after that.
      • Employees can earn up to $600/year via participation in the Healthy U program.
