We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Animal Caretaker to join our team at a working dog kennel. As an Animal Caretaker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to the animals in our facility and ensuring that their physical and emotional needs are met on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

• Feed and water dogs according to their individual needs and dietary requirements.
• Clean kennels and living areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for the dogs.
• Provide exercise and playtime for dogs, both individually and in groups.
• Administer medication and provide basic medical care as needed.
• Monitor dogs for any signs of illness or injury and report any concerns to the kennel manager.
• Maintain accurate records of each dog's daily activities, feeding, and weight
• Groom and bathe dogs as needed.
• Perform general housekeeping of the kennel building.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a clean, organized, and safe and healthy environment for all dogs in our care.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with dogs in a kennel or animal care setting.
• A strong commitment to animal welfare and a passion for working with dogs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Understanding of dog behavior and training principles is preferred, but not required.
