What You'll Do
Gabb Wireless is looking for a talented mid-level Android Developer to join our growing Engineering team and support our Wearables division and our world-class Gabb Watch. In this role, you will develop, build, and release code to further the larger team goals, and primarily on app development. Additionally, you will…
- Kotlin experience, with the competency to predominantly complete tasks without aid
- Participate in planning, detailing, and scheduling of features to be built
- Build applications to pre-designed UI/UX specifications
- Understand of and ability to apply Android Architecture principles
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug applications from reviewing logs
- Ability to perform code reviews in a timely manner
- Experience with Git tools and code repositories such as Bitbucket or Github
- Understanding of Android Lifecycle
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Assist in architecture discussions
- Implement unit tests to ensure the quality of code and software
What You'll Need
- 2+ years of working experience in Android development
- 1+ years of working with Kotlin
- 1+ years of working with Activities/Fragments
- Understanding of deep areas of Android such as: Aidl Interfaces & Services, Custom Views, Custom Input Method Editor, System Permissions, Work Manager, GPS, and more
- Interest in working with wearable devices (smart watches)
- Development experience with hardware integrations are also a plus
