Job Standards
The City of Springfield, in partnership with Serve Illinois and AmeriCorps, is seeking individuals for the following: 1) Community Relations Coordinator: Will identify, develop, and implement marketing and promotional strategies for the Computer Banc; work with Director to secure donations and volunteers as necessary, and 2) Youth Mentor: Plan, setup, and implement program activities with Boys and Girls Club of Central Illinois and/or Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries.
AmeriCorps members will serve 900 hours between hire date and December 31, 2023. AmeriCorps members will be required to attend orientation training, member meetings, the Illinois National Day of Service Opening Day, and participate in mandatory service days throughout the year. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation.
