Overview:
Perform machine tender duties for AMB machine. Obtain leg blanks blown into truck from Knitting. Replenish supply of blanks to hopper and fluff as needed. Read diagnostic screen instructions and clear minor jams, etc. as indicated. Remove empty sewing yarn packages and rethread sewing heads. Maintain all records and SPC charts. Apply QPI principles and techniques effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Audit knitting quality - responsible for turning off a defective machine, relaying to the knitting fixer the type of defect and clearing the defect from the buggy of goods.
  • Obtain leg blanks blown into buggy from Knitting. Replenish supply of blanks to hopper and fluff as needed. Ensure that blanks are correct style.
  • Perform the following machine adjustments as required.
    • Read diagnostic screen for instructions and clear jams, and report any abnormal readings to the fixer.
    • Rethread broken sewing yarn.
    • Replace sewing yarn packages.
    • Change/replace sewing needles.
    • Be able to shut down and startup the AMB.
  • Remove and tie off completed bag of sewn work and replace with empty dye bag at AMB exit tubes. Attach dye tag to completed bag.
  • Audit AMB quality from the sewn bag. Responsible for alerting the AMB fixer of machine quality problem.
  • Obtain empty dye bags from packing.
  • Make up cases and pack styles sold in the greige.
  • Obtain all waste and dispose of properly.
  • Keep records of production counts and complete SPC charts.
  • Check the unsewn blanks at ECPNC for possible defects and return good quality to the reservoir.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by supervision, such an manual Takatori duties.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of work area and machinery.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to pass Background Screening and Drug Test.
