Day Shift Shipping and Receiving Associate for AKIRA

Due to rapid growth, we are looking to hire an enthusiastic and ready-to-learn Shipping and Receiving Associate(s).

Job Location: Bolingbrook, IL

Starting Salary: $17.00 an hour

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Overview: Within receiving, the job duties are to receive all shipments accurately, unload containers, verify box counts, organize by order, audit unit counts, and receive into the warehouse management system. In shipping, the job duties are to assemble well built pallets with items for the correct destination, scan out units, and help to load trucks. Applicants will be asked to help in both shipping and receiving.

Essential Functions:

• Unload trucks and accurately counting all boxes that are being unloaded
• Unload floor loaded shipping containers in a timely manner
• Organize orders according to purchase order, vendor, style, color
• Count units in orders to verify accuracy
• Accurately receive items into the warehouse management system, noting any issues
• Safely palletize orders to be stored for processing and print bin location stickers
• Assemble pallets for freight shipments according to retail location
• Scan barcodes of all stores on spreadsheet
• Shrink wrap all pallets and help load freight

Qualifications:

• Basic data entry and computer literacy preferred
• Ability to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. and can repetitively lift boxes the entire shift
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time, including a 8-hour shift
