Aircraft Mechanic Apprentice Job at Winterset Aviation
Winterset Aviation has two open positions for Aircraft Mechanic Apprentices. These mechanic apprentices will work along side certified aircraft mechanics (A&P's) maintaining small aircraft at the Winterset Municipal Airport & Des Moines International Airport. Applicants do not need experience with aviation, but must have a mechanical background (provide proof on resume). Apprentice will assist with:
- Maintaining small aircraft
- Rebuilding small aircraft engines
This position's schedule is flexible and will start part time, and may turn into full time. Applicant must have reliable transportation.
Applicants will go through one day on the job with a certified mechanic for the interview process. Applicants will receive an AMT logbook and will be able to apply their experience towards their A&P license (aircraft mechanic license). The apprenticeship process is approximately 30 months.
