As an Ag Equipment Operator, you will:

  • Provide support to Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education farming and research operations.
  • Carry out agricultural production operations, including planting, fertilizing, pesticide application, row crop and forage harvest, yield monitoring, following research protocols, and equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Assist with hauling of commodities as needed.
  • Operate heavy and snow removal equipment. Other duties as assigned.

Irregular hours and work in inclement weather required. Position requires obtaining an EPA Non-Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s License and Commercial Driver’s License within 90 days of employment.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus four years of commercial or family farm-based agricultural experience; relevant education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Working knowledge of farm machinery/equipment operation and application of crop production materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Precision agricultural hardware, apps, and methods experience.
  • Spreadsheet software experience.

Posted Salary
$17.50/hr minimum
