Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU) is seeking a self-starting and enthusiastic transportation analyst with demonstrated success and interest in mobility services to join our Advanced Mobility team in our Corporate office located in Colorado in the Denver Tech Center. We are seeking a technically oriented analyst, planner or engineer with skills in planning and data analytics. The Engineer/Analyst will work on statewide, regional, city, corridor, and agency transportation sustainability and electrification plans, mobility service assessments; feasibility studies, mobility dashboards; and research projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with the Advanced Mobility team to expand the Transportation Electrification and Mobility Services market. This includes:
  • Serve as a consultant to FHU clients
  • Assisting in developing sustainability, electrification, and mobility strategic roadmaps
  • Supporting business cases
  • Supporting the design/execution of sustainability and electrifications programs
  • Supporting infrastructure planning and installation
  • Develop data analytics to evaluate sustainability and electrification transportation investment impacts/benefits and to support transportation planning decisions
  • Conduct statistical analyses to extract insights from the data and communicate findings
  • Support building utilization models that help optimize client decisions
  • Leverage data visualization tools to make data insights accessible to all
  • Evaluate impact of travel behavior and consumer choice on the adoption of new technologies and/or travel choices
  • Support development of advanced mobility scenario modeling and data analysis to support planning processes, such as simulations for electric vehicle or micro-mobility adoption, or GHG emissions reduction
  • Support preparation of a variety of documents including plan reports, technical memoranda, correspondence, and digital engagement content
  • Work with other planners, engineers, landscape architects, and environmental scientists on multidisciplinary transportation projects
  • Participate in client, technical group, stakeholder, and public meeting discussions and presentations
  • Support business development with proposal review, proposal development and writing
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other staff members

Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000 Annual

Requirements

SKILLS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2- 3 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning or engineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental sciences, Computer or Data Sciences, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience in advanced mobility, electrification, and energy fields a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized with experience independently managing tasks or projects
  • Strong head for analytics, a deep interest in problem-solving, and good attention to detail
  • Talent for critical thinking and a desire to collaborate with others
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS a plus
  • Working knowledge of data analytics tools including Tableau, SQL, Excel or Python, as well as data visualization a plus
