An Admissions Evaluator I, fulfills the administrative requirements to evaluate and process the applications and academic records of prospective and returning students. The position determines if applicants meet established academic requirements, with the objective of making admissions decisions. In addition to these duties, an Admissions Evaluator I may also be tasked with requesting high school and college transcripts for students, completing the process from beginning to end, and as outlined.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for managing student files and information from application to enrollment.

2. Processing a large amount of mail and admissions documents that are scanned and imported into our electronic database.

3. Acts as a liaison to support internal departments and communicate feedback on documents received to those communicating directly with students.

4. Answer questions regarding accreditation, current policy, transcript request policies and/or the stage of a specific request, documentation needed, and documents that may or may not be acceptable based on admissions standards.

5. Maintain quality assurance and audit reports for information that is entered into the system.

6. Training on new policies and procedures to keep the department apprised of any new regulations or criteria for handling student data.

7. Meet or exceed the departmental key performance indicators .

8. Review signed transcript request forms ensuring all required fields have been completed.

9. Look up high school or college information and take the necessary steps to request the transcripts (including calling the institution).

10. When applicable, request checks from the Accounting Department to pay for transcript.

11. Answer emails through the inbox and contact students through CRM email as necessary.

12. Perform quality assurance checks as assigned by an Assistant Director.

13. Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

A high school diploma or GED is required and must be able to type 40-50 WPM. Post-secondary education, experience with Sharepoint, Apex, Microsoft office, Etrieve, Banner, and office or administrative experience is preferred. Ability to multi-task, work a flexible schedule, and strong organizational/computer skills. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard and regularly lift 10 pounds or fewer.
