Summary

This position assists with all aspects of the Admissions cycle for the Glendale campus. The position reports to the Director of Admissions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advise prospective students and provide detailed knowledge of all admissions processes and requirements for all programs
  • Review applications, evaluate credentials, and recommend admissions decisions
  • Make interview invitation decisions
  • Represent the University at recruitment events
  • Give program presentations
  • Maintain and update student records
  • Prepare and disseminate weekly and yearly reports
  • Coordinate and facilitate interview days
  • Communicate with all programs and departments on campus
  • Work with program directors, faculty and staff and serve as primary liaison to specific programs
  • Give campus tours
  • Assist with the matriculation process
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s degree preferred. Must have at least 1 year of professional office experience. 1-2 years of admissions or higher education experience desired.

Computer Skills

Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Language Skills

Intermediate skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability

Intermediate skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Mathematical Ability

Intermediate skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interests, commissions and proportions, percentage, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision.
