Description

The purpose of this position is to facilitate adherence to quality processes throughout the PDC under the direction of the local PDC Manager and the matrix management support of MPA Quality Op's. This will aid the continuous improvement of quality of services and product to reduce and eliminate quality incidents at the PDC. This will support improvement of productivity, accuracy and improve both internal and external customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate claims process and coordinate with the PDC Manager and headquarters personnel.
  • Dealer Damage & Shortage Claims, review and investigate open damage claims, contact dealers to validate damages & collect information, confirm claim validity with due diligence checklist, make final disposition on damage claim communicate disposition to dealer, assign liability to shortage claims (30%).
  • Supplier Claims, identification & documentation LG535, claim validation accept/reject LG535, evidence gathered & ACIR created - QA420, restock, relabel, scrap, return to vendor, and daily tracking (30%).
  • Participate in root cause, corrective action and preventive action plan development (10%).
  • Coordinate and conduct the performance of the quality part inspection and cycle counts. Research and resolve inventory discrepancies as appropriate (10%).
  • Inspection of vendor receipts. Resolve discrepancies by coordinating with appropriate PDC & corporate personnel (10%).
  • Evaluate packaging of parts as supplied by the vendors and as packaged by the PDC for shipment. Recommend improvements (10%).

Key Performance Indicators

  • Inspect parts receipts to assure compliance to purchase order, packaging, and other requirements.
  • Resolve identification and quality issues, coordinate corrective actions with the other PDC’S and the appropriate Headquarters personnel.
  • Initiate the claim process with the vendors. Provide necessary documentation, track and audit vendor performance and claim response.
  • Investigate packaging failures and recommend appropriate changes in PDC methods. Work with vendors and Headquarters personnel to develop packaging improvements.
  • Coordinate and conduct the product inspection under the direction of the PDC Management. Assist Parts Help Desk and Parts Technical to resolve dealer parts requests.
  • Prepare reports on activity, parts quality inspection results, vendor compliance, etc. as requested by the PDC Management or Headquarters.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.

Required Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required.

Experience Requirements

  • 4-6 years of related experience in Warehousing/Distribution Center Operations.

Skills

  • Basic background in customer service, freight handling procedures, receiving, packaging requirements, and other basic quality management skills.
  • Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics
