Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Administrative Coordinator II for the Student Affairs Operations department within the School of Nursing. Under direction of the Director of Student Affairs Operations and the Assistant Registrar, the Administrative Coordinator II will assist with all functions in the Office of the Registrar and the Office of Clinical Compliance. The Administrative Coordinator II will perform and coordinate a wide variety of administrative services to achieve a smooth and efficient administrative office operation for the School of Nursing Office of Registrar and Office of Clinical Compliance.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Provide direct support to the Director of Student Services Operations with day-to-day activities including calendar, answering phones, meeting agendas, walk-ins, project management and follow up, etc.
  • Creating detailed reports and interpreting data.
  • Assists with special projects and events such as Convocation, Admitted Student day, etc.
  • Assisting the Office of Registrar with daily functions such as: data entry of student records, filing, scanning, registration, email, transcript processing, verifications, scheduling and special projects.
  • Provide office support/reception for the Office of the Registrar, which includes but is not limited to answering phones, emails and handling walk-ins.
  • Assist students with registering for classes, transcript requests, status updates on various registrar requests.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field, plus two (2) years of progressively more responsible administrative experience required (equivalent or higher level).
  • Additional related experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Microsoft Office, ability to learn new systems.

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster upon eligibility and upload proof of same. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying.
