This position is located in the Eligibility, Enrollment and Member Service (EEMS), Richland County.

Are you the One? We are looking for an Administrative Coordinator I who will plan, direct, coordinate and perform complex administrative and business management activities for Eligibility Enrollment and Member Services (EEMS). Manages the day-to-day administrative functions of the EEMS Bureau Chiefs.
  • Maintains a complex calendar of appointments for EEMS Bureau Chiefs; Receives, screens, interprets and refers incoming calls and visitors to the appropriate areas. Coordinates meetings and prepares agendas for weekly and monthly meetings as well as compiling and coordinating agenda items, distributing meeting materials and serving as the recording secretary for assigned meetings of EEMS Bureau Chiefs. Troubleshoots incoming complaints to the EEMS Bureau Chiefs. Makes decisions regarding the priority and importance of issues and situations that may present themselves and take appropriate action.
  • Reviews the EEMS Bureau Chiefs incoming/outgoing correspondence, assigns deadlines, coordinates responses with the appropriate agency personnel and tracks status. Prepare drafts to answer routine correspondence. Reviews incoming correspondence and directs it to the appropriate Department for response. Ensures deadlines are met on all responses, correspondence, special projects, etc. requiring a reply by the EEMS Bureau Chiefs. Ensures responses are consistent and in compliance with agency policies. Reviews all outgoing communications to ensure consistency with the Department’s administrative policies and procedures. While this position does not have programmatic responsibilities, it does have the responsibility of understanding the program organization and the appropriate contacts in each area. Acts as a liaison to areas internal and external to the agency on behalf of the EEMS Bureau Chiefs
  • Performs research on various issues for the EEMS Bureau Chiefs. Compiles and organizes findings in draft reports. Performs administrative functions for the EEMS Bureau Chiefs to include: logging, proofing, formatting, copying, scanning, tracking, researching, and other general office functions. Handles issues of highly confidential nature and conducts confidential special assignments; prepares and maintains reports. Arranges travel for assigned staff and others as needed.
  • Supports all administrative functions of the EEMS Bureau Chiefs management team including an efficient, professional, and cooperative work environment. Acts as a partner across and among other executive administrative support staff. Maintains the office supplies, equipment, and furniture needs for the EEMS Bureau Chiefs and staff, including preparation and coordination of any necessary requisitions. Other duties as required

A high school diploma and three (3) years of professional experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services.

  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
  • Lifting requirements: 20 lbs.
