Roles and Responsibilities:
- Works with the State Archivist & Public Records Administrator to ensure ongoing and proper care and appropriate disposition of public records.
- Assists with processing State Records Center storage and work orders from state agencies, in collaboration with the Public Records.
- Assists in preparing for State Archives public programs.
- Retrieves or scans files upon request by other staff members.
- Provides administrative support to the State Archives Reference Program by answering phone inquiries, providing information, transferring calls and/or taking messages as necessary, and responding to general requests via email and in person.
- Conducts, promotes, encourages, and assists with research about Rhode Island history, government, and culture in the reference and reading room, through virtual reference and presentations, and as otherwise needed.
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Salary: $20.00 per hour
