This is a UNIQUE opportunity for the right person to support the leadership team of a fast-growing restaurant group headquartered out of San Diego County, California. Full Job Description

You are the go-to person when it comes to supporting the administrative needs of the organization. This includes a wide range of functions that touch operations, human resources, accounting, payroll, and other administrative functions.

Essential Responsibilities:

Corporate Admin/Support:

  • Picks up, opens, sorts through, and acts on company mail and performs ad hoc administrative errands on behalf of the company and its owners
  • Helps organize team functions and events
  • Acts as point person on certain company legal matters and follows up with attorneys and other parties as point person of the company
  • Maintains knowledge of hospitality and restaurant group trends, best practices, regulatory and compliance changes, and new technologies; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to management
  • Establishes and maintains company database and reports by store; is able to direct others in the organization and adherence to record-keeping guidelines

Accounting & Operations Support & Project Management:

  • Maintains company organization charts and employee and vendor directory
  • Supports accounts payable by calling vendors and verifying activity, and opening and closing accounts
  • Fielding inquiries/emails and managing correspondence with any vendors or third parties
  • Maintains and files required, municipal, licenses, permits, and renewals such as business licenses, health permits, PCI compliance, and maintenance programs

HR/Benefits/Compliance Support:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, performance management and retention.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation, administration and compliance of the company’s internal programs and other mandatory compliance programs
  • Manage our 3rd party payroll processors to ensure compliance in benefits qualifications, along with timely and accurate pay for all
  • Responsible for the overall success of administering the company’s training and onboarding programs
  • Coordinates enrollment or initiation of aspects of the onboarding process such as 401k and benefits administration, COBRA offerings, etc

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Operations, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • At least five years of administration experience preferred
  • At least two years of working in hospitality or restaurant management preferred
  • Read, Write, and Speak English Fluently (Bilingual - Spanish a plus)
  • General Human Resource knowledge preferred

Safety/ Physical Capacities:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, lift, pull, push, and kneel for long periods of time.
  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
  • This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
