AP Lead Job Position Available

We are currently seeking an Account Payables Lead to join our team at our North Miami, FL location. As a member of our Shared Services Accounting team, you will be responsible for managing the relationships with our vendors and suppliers. This is a high-volume department, so we require an individual with a high level of proficiency and accuracy.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of AP

• Lead and support the AP team to meet daily and weekly metrics

• Communicate with internal and external parties regarding department-related processes, changes, etc.

• Collaborate with Procurement team members to ensure compliance with purchasing procedures

• Assist in the preparation and provision of information for audits and auditor inquiries

• General knowledge of ledger coding for PO review and invoice processing

• Oversee the workload and performance of the AP team

• Analyze AP department follow-up to ensure completeness and accuracy

• Provide training for AP team and assist in defining standards for processes

• Assist in regular supplier statement reconciliations

• Understand consumer goods industry and matching vendor invoices with purchase orders and warehouse receiving documents

Required Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent AP experience

• 3-5 years of progressive responsibility in an AP function

• Integrity and quality standards with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail

• Team-oriented style with a strong customer service attitude

• Ability to communicate and diffuse potential conflict

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

• Experience with AFS system

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

• Ability to work alone or on a team

• Desire to move into a leadership position
