Robert Half has a top-notch opportunity for a short-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a successful company in the Construction/Contractor industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, and match, batch, and code invoices. This is a fantastic role and you will have the opportunity for career growth and advancement within this dynamic department. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Plymouth, Minnesota area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position.

Major responsibilities

• Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
• Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
• Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
• Accomplish full-cycle A/P
• Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
• Provide support during internal and external audits
• Execute additional tasks as needed
• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
• Provide support to internal business partners
• Proficiency in Coding Invoices
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
• QuickBooks experience
• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
• Be detailed, flexible, and organized
• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
• Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
