Accounts Payables Specialist - Job Description
Position Summary
An accounts payable specialist participates in several duties including but not limited to daily processing of invoices, check printing as well as various clerical duties including filing, records archiving and organization.
Position Responsibilities
· Processing supplier invoices through either our purchase order system or manual posting.
· Scheduling, printing and distribution of company checks for our suppliers.
· Reconciling statements and working with our active suppliers to resolve any existing disputes.
· Handling accounts payable for separate entities.
· Building relationships with our supplier’s staff to ensure an open line of communications.
· Analyzing various A/P reports including monthly ageing, cash discount reports and other misc. reports.
· Organize and store financial records for archiving.
· Develop and use problem-solving and multitasking skills to quickly identify and resolve any outstanding issues.
· Communicate across departments to investigate and resolve vendor issues.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
· Previous Accounts Payable experience is preferred.
· Outstanding communication skills and a customer service focus
· Strong problem solving abilities.
· Professional written and oral communication skills.
· Great organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
