This Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position offers an opportunity to become an essential part of a company in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry. Located in Kannapolis, North Carolina, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary position. In this dynamic department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.

Major responsibilities

• Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
• Help with internal and external audits as required
• Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
• Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
• Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
• Execute additional tasks as needed
• Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
• Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
• Conduct full-cycle A/P
• Customer invoices experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Coding Invoices
• Adeptness in Invoice Entry
• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
• General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
• Invoice Approvals experience highly desired
• Command of Payable Invoices
• 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
• Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
