Description: Accounting Manager

Job Purpose: We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our team and provide oversight of day-to-day accounting activities and staff development. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA.

Job Duties:

  • Costpoint 8.0 and Deltek TE Time and Expense
  • Project and project financial reports setup
  • AP vouchers and cash disbursements
  • Payroll pre-processing
  • Monthly financials with all related supporting schedules and account reconciliations
  • Month end journal entries
  • Ad hoc reports for management and operations
  • Audits from government agencies including Annual Financial Review
  • Bank reports and on-line banking system
  • Monthly revenue recognition including invoicing and unbilled schedules
  • Annual Incurred Cost Submission


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 10 years
  • Concentration in government contracts and cost accounting in IDIQ, CPFF, Firm-Fixed Price and T&M contracts.
  • Knowledge of all modules of Costpoint 8 with the exception of Inventory.
  • Understanding of FAR regulations as it pertains to transaction accounting
  • Proficient in Excel, ADOBE and Microsoft Word


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA is a plus but not required
  • Personnel management experience


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to bend, stoop and squat frequently


Salary Range:

  • $125,000 - $155,000 depending on experience
