DeVisser Landscape Services / Weed Man Lawn Care is a local established company (80+ years) and is growing and always looking to ‘Make a Positive Impact.’ We are looking for individuals who have that same passion and would like to jo in us as an Accounting Administrative Assistant. This person must show they have a positive attitude, work/act professionally, pursue excellence in all they do, and work well within a team.

The Accounting Administrative Assistant is responsible for completing basic accounting duties. This may include, but is not limited to, preparing deposits, processing payments, invoicing, collections, and maintaining databases and spreadsheets. This position will also assist in administrative and clerical duties. This may include, but is not limited to, answering phones, greeting customers, making appointments, filing paperwork, performing data entry, scanning documents, receiving and sorting mail, and any other tasks that contribute to the function of the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and route calls to specific people.
  • Answer inquiries about company and services within a timely manner.
  • Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable.
  • Schedule meetings and arrange appointments and inspections.
  • Process payments from customers, send emails, faxes, and scan documents.
  • Process payments to vendors
  • Process accounts in collections.
  • Enter vendor invoices into the system.
  • Prepare customer invoices.
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to meet the goals of the company.

Qualifications:

  • Must have working knowledge of basic accounting functions.
  • Administrative work experience preferred.
  • Quick Books experience preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Requires computer skills and the ability to work in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have good listening skills and organizational skills and must be detail oriented.
  • A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently while remaining organized.
  • Great attitude upbeat and energetic positive and team oriented.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with a diverse group of external and internal customers.
